You have known already that Shaky is singing a few new songs + some "old songs".For the very first time I have heard live "Green door" or "radio".And..."Love you out loud"...I almost couldn't believe my ears when I heard it!!! The shows was amazing!!!! I have never thought that I can write such words cause always I am so excited after Shaky's concert as every one is so great but....Shaky is better and better and better and this time he was even...better! How is it possible? He looked so smart !He was so enthusiastic!! Peopl;e on audience were so happy!! They sang along with Shaky.."Cry just alittle bit" - Shaky could be only a conductor of the audience! The poster was different than in Warsaw. http://i37.tinypic.com/23itdme.jpg ![]() And I enjoyed very much Ben Waters performance and his guest - a Danish singer. The kind of music that I love. They sang "Shake a hand" I love it!! And
Re: Shaky live in Denmark - October 2009Hi all,
Saw the concert in Aarhus and yes - after a slow start on the first half, it all ended excellent. The first review can be seen at TV2 homepage: http://vip.tv2.dk/article.php/id-25712041.html?rss The translated version via Google Translate is here below (sorry for the language) Welsh Shakin 'Stevens - him with Elvis gesticulations - rocked Aarhus thoroughly Sunday night. He belongs to history's best-selling solo artist and spat particularly in the 1980s monster hits off the assembly line. The breakthrough came relatively late for the now 61-year-old rock 'n' roll star, which in turn has stubbornly held on to his career ever since - although his status faded a bit over the years but not more that he pulled something near full houses this Sunday evening. A performance by former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman did not succeeded, when he a few weeks ago also visited the Hall in Aarhus. The hall was so packed and expectations spiraling upwards as Shakin 'Stevens with five minutes later endorsed his patiently waiting band that had already taken the stage. Tonight's protagonist apologized and explained that his earplugs were gone, but otherwise it was not a lot one since heard from him between numbers. He certainly was not talkative, but it did not trace that music ruled, the holdfast, where it just swung and stop where it could not go fast enough to put new tracks in progress. The band had brought along a fabulous and much more 'tight' than, say, Bill Wyman's 'Rhythm Kings' from before, and it was a joy to observe how all the band members from keyboard wizard with fans, guitarists, bassist, drummer and three women high choir could just their stuff down to the smallest detail. They were all extremely gifted technically, but it was fortunately not mean that they were boring and stick to safe formulas - no, composition intervals were amazingly many fine surprises along the way, and there seemed to be spontaneously fostered solos on all instruments all around. Even appeared to complete the ensemble humored and profit-ish with lots of smiles and joy of playing. Also Shakin 'Stevens' himself' was exuberant, albeit youthful Elvis zeal gradually fade away a bit. He seemed relaxed and appeared in more than ever to rest in itself, and that was really very nice, although it certainly was fat when he occasionally mandede up for some odd twitch in the spirit of just hr . Presley. His voice went very well, but no great singer, he is not, and it was really delicious with the powerful chorus as rock-solid accompaniment. Shakin 'Stevens with band played quite precisely two times 45 minutes and was from beginning to end a pronounced pleasure - not all of the material was on the same high level, but it was recurrent disseminated extremely convincing the stylish band and the singer in front ditto. And by the performance of the repertoire's finest gems, it was impossible not to rock the chair, if one had not already risen with all the other excited and clapping audiences. Great and nostalgic moments included bell clear services of undeniable hits like "You Drive Me Crazy," "Cry Just A Little Bit" and "Oh Julie", who got the mood right up to ring in the Concert Hall this Sunday evening.
