That's a very familiar date to me... It happens to be my birthday . Now this will mean my Polish friends will be trying to twist my arm (English phrase) to go to Poland for my birthday .
It's fantastic to hear that Shaky is to return to Poland to do his first live concert in over 20 years for the Polish people. This was my wish for them.

Report back with set list and reviews please!
Well...one more time you can count on me.....cause always after Shaky's concert I am so excited that I got one more chance to attend the next very special event and I just have to share with other fans that HE WAS SO GOOD ,FANTASTIC,INCREDIBLE!
But this time I must add...POLISH AUDIENCE WAS GREAT,GREAT!
People went crazy. When they heard:Marie,OhJulie ,It's late ...they sang along with Shaky, were dancing, clapping.
To be honest people almost didn't sit at all....he got standing ovation.
When Shaky announced:" You know this song" and started to sing Cry just a little....people screamed.Shaky only smiled...
His voice was so strong, great movement.
He wore a jacket /grey? I am not sure because of the lights/.
He sang You never talk about me,Lonely too...,It's a shame,Somwhere in the..,Now listen, babyit's you,With myheart,Give me your heart...,One man alive,Trouble...as an encore were This ole house,Cry just a little and Fire down below.
When my friends /Elvis fans bdw/ heard that last song they said to me:Viola...wow..!!!.we didn't expect such a great interpretation.
But I was really happy when I heard from them: we would love to see Shaky's concert again!
Now they understand me why I love Shakin'Stevens live performances.JUST PROFESsIONAL on stage...and of course the best kind ofmusic in the world.
You can see that my skirt is wet....complety awful weather was.
But we were walking a liitle bit in the rain and unfortunately we didn't notice any posters or information about the concert .
The posters were around the venue only.
Anyway....as an artist Shakin'Stevens is top class and he got new fans.

It's brought a smile to my face to know how much the Polish people enjoyed the concert.
I hope they will all remember Shaky, and Shaky will remember them.
Greetings to all Polish Shaky fans from England.

Superb to see that 'Cry Just A little Bit' was performed, I hope we get to hear that live in the UK again one day.

Great to hear that the hits are back in the live set again
that way people will have a fab concert with Shaky & the brill band
in Germany & Dk ..
I hope the box-set out in september and is sold it at the Dk gigs in october
..people will love a show based on half n half or 70-30 in favour of hits*
and the rest of the songs are 2 new and box-set classics
"that´s why (we) go for that rock´n´roll music..!"

Thanks for the link Piotrek, it's great to see Shaky on Polish TV!
Good choice for 'How Could It Be Like That' to be performed. Shame they cut it short though...

WOW WOW WOW!!!!!
http://muzyka.wp.pl/rpid,368968,title,S ... lacja.html
After reading such a review as a loyal Shakin'Stevens admirer I can only say - I am not surprised ,,,,but again proud!
I am not a translator but in a few short words i will try to tell you the main idea of this article:
"Unforgettable Saturdy night fever.Pure magic. Even ifthe weather was like in England/10degrees,rain/ inside of the Congress hall was hot, hot.
It wasn't Congress Hall,it wass dancing hall, dance floor.
It is clear-cut to me: if Shaky didn't announce a break,it could be that all comfortable seats would be destroyed by crazy audience.
2 hours of huge party! He just mesmerised people. When they heard his mega hit "A letter to you"his trumpet,sax.-it was a knockout for them".etc, etc
Well.....must say that it wasn't only Shaky that got to give his all in that show.
I was dancing along to the bitter end.I didn't care that i wore high heels. And must say that my condition is pretty good
I want to add that Shaky did a bang-up job.I mean it is no picnic these days to prove that you can get attention and win recognition onle because of own talent and kind of music.Only.
Violetta
PS Unfortunately I can't cotton on to his jacket on stage....still.OOps
