Celebrity Art Auction
Over a hundred celebrities have donated drawings and paintings of butterflies and moths to Dorset Wildlife Trust.
These will be auctioned in batches on Ebay to raise funds for our conservation work, starting on Sunday 16th September and running through to Christmas. Each week a new selection of pictures will be auctioned.
Contributors include Graham Norton, Ricky Gervais, David Cameron, Damien Hirst & Tracey Emin.
So for the chance to be the proud owner of a work by Ian Botham, Rick Stein or your favourite celebrity go to

Eh? I just looked and it's £235.....
I guess it's not going to beat the highest price achieved for one of the pictures now?

I think it raised £350 or thereabouts.

It supposedly sold for £311 but then it was removed by Ebay and the auction was deemed null and void!
I dont know why this happened but I did notice that the winning bidder is no longer an Ebay member so maybe it was a problem with the bidder?

It's a real shame, if that is what has happened, I just hope the wildlife trust fund, will be able to receive their money through the next highest bidder.

Nope ! They sent me an email saying that as ebay removed the item, noone is obliged to pay for the item. However, the seller is free to list the item again so you may like to watch for future listings from them. XXX YIPEEEEEEEeeeE

I have just emailed Les Bunce who I was communicating with about the drawing, so once I hear from him about exactly what happened (if, of course, he is allowed to say!) then I will post his reply on the board for all to read!!

So maybe the bidder in question was unable or unwilling to pay. I've never had any major probs with Ebay, but there are a few bogus people out there.
Wonder if it'll be re-listed?
